Dr Ibrahim Azam completed his basic surgical training and, after becoming a Member of the Royal College of Surgeons, pursued a career in Radiology. He then achieved Fellowship of the Royal College of Radiologists. He further specialised by completing a Spinal Intervention and Musculoskeletal Radiology Fellowship at Stoke Mandeville Hospital, Buckinghamshire Healthcare NHS Trust, before being appointed as a Consultant Musculoskeletal Radiologist at Frimley Health NHS Trust.
Dr Ibrahim Azam possesses specialist expertise in all areas of diagnostic imaging and image-guided treatments, focusing on orthopaedics, spine, sports injuries, rheumatology, sarcoma, bone infections, and trauma. His particular interest in sports injuries is rooted in his prior experience in Orthopaedics during his surgical training.
Dr Ibrahim Azam was awarded the prestigious Grainger Prize as a radiology trainee in Sheffield. He has also published multiple papers in peer-reviewed journals and presented at national and international conferences.
He has the professional qualifications/memberships including Fellow of the Royal College of Radiologists, European Society of Skeletal Radiology (ESSR), and British Society of Skeletal Radiology (BSSR).
