Dr Rasha Mukhtar is a consultant endocrinologist at Frimley Park Hospital, Surrey. She also holds consultations at Parkside Private Suite Frimley. Dr Mukhtar has experience in the investigation, diagnosis, and management of endocrine problems including thyroid conditions, calcium disorders, electrolyte abnormalities, pituitary disease, adrenal problems, and hypogonadism. She also runs the insulin pump and CGM clinic and the diabetes/endocrine antenatal clinic at the hospital.

Dr Mukhtar graduated from the University of Khartoum in 1995 and undertook her specialist training within the Severn Deanery. She then went on to become a Doctor of Medicine after completing a residency programme covering endocrinology, diabetes, and metabolism. Dr Mukhtar worked as a consultant at James Cook University Hospital prior to her move to Frimley Park.

Dr Mukhtar has a passion for education and has achieved a diploma in medical education from Durham University. She is currently the FY2 Foundation Programme directory at Frimley Park Hospital, and an examiner for both the Professional and Linguistic Assessments Board (PLAB) and MRCP (UK). Dr Mukhtar has also previously spent time as an associate lecturer at Newcastle University.

Dr Mukhtar is actively involved in research and her current topics of interest are type 1 diabetes, diabetes-related technology, and antenatal care.
