Mr. Jeremy Granville-Chapman is a Consultant Orthopaedic Surgeon with fellowship training in Upper Limb Surgery and Orthopaedic Trauma surgery.
Having qualified with a distinction from St Bartholomew’s and The Royal London Medical School in 2001, Jeremy completed his Medical Officer training at Sandhurst Military Academy, where he came top in The Order of Merit for the year. Following that, he joined the Royal Scots Dragoon Guards as their Regimental Medical Officer before commencing surgical training. During his surgical training, Jeremy spent a year doing surgical research which culminated in his Doctorate of Medicine degree. Another one of his awards is the Gold Medal for the best performance nationwide in the Orthopaedic Consultant exams (FRCS Tr&Orth).
Towards the end of his training, he secured a prestigious fellowship in Upper Limb Surgery at the internationally-renowned Wrightington Hospital, where he worked with leading surgeons in the fields of sports shoulder surgery, complex joint replacement surgery and elbow surgery. Following this fellowship, he spent 8 more months training at Brighton’s Level 1 Trauma Centre, where he focused on complex trauma surgery.
Since 2005, Jeremy has deployed twice to Iraq and twice to Afghanistan. Furthermore, he also spent 2 months co-ordinating the care of our repatriated wounded in Birmingham. He has been both an Ambassador and a Travelling Fellow for the British Orthopaedic Association.
